What it does

Warrior Wives Connect is a web application that addresses the need for a secure online platform where military wives can connect with others who share similar interests and experiences. The app facilitates connections and fosters a sense of community among military wives.

How we built it

We utilized modern web technologies to develop Warrior Wives Connect:

Frontend:
- React JS for a dynamic and interactive user interface.
- Tailwind CSS for efficient and responsive styling.
- React Router DOM for seamless navigation within the application.
Backend:
- Node JS to handle server-side operations and APIs.

Challenges we ran into

During the hackathon, we faced challenges related to time constraints and prioritization. We effectively addressed these challenges through open communication and a collaborative approach to development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In the 36-hour timeframe, we successfully designed and implemented the core features of Warrior Wives Connect, including the home screen, profile page, and event RSVP. We're proud of our achievements and the synergistic collaboration within the team.

What we learned

As Team Code Capitalists, we embarked on this 36-hour journey facing various challenges and embracing numerous learning opportunities. Here's a glimpse of what we gained from this experience:

Effective Collaboration: Working under tight deadlines taught us the value of efficient collaboration. We learned to communicate openly, leverage each other's strengths, and make collective decisions to maximize productivity.
Adaptability and Prioritization: Navigating through time constraints, we honed our skills in prioritizing tasks effectively. Learning to adapt and focus on essential features was crucial for meeting project goals.
Rapid Learning and Problem Solving: The nature of the hackathon demanded us to swiftly learn new technologies and resolve unexpected challenges. We became adept at finding solutions on the go and integrating new knowledge into our project.
Resourceful Technology Use: While we initially planned to use certain technologies, we pivoted based on project needs. This flexibility underscored the importance of choosing technologies based on project requirements.

What's next for Code Capitalists

Given more time, we envision enhancing Warrior Wives Connect by polishing the user interface, improving interactions, and developing additional supporting pages. We aim to optimize the information architecture and integrate seamless authentication using ID.me.
