Blockchain-based eCommerce warranty system using NFTs

Inspiration

The decentralization feature of blockchain-inspired me a lot to build this e-commerce system. Now user can have full control on products which he purchases.

What it does

In this project, there are 3 Persons who are involved in this First is the admin whose work is to add an authentic seller so that no fake seller can mint warranty. Second a seller who will mint warranty for the user and also seller can validate the warranty of the user to check if the warranty is authentic and mint by him or not The third user who can see all his warranties in the dashboard and can also transfer the warranty after the resale of the product

How we built it

So we built a Blockchain-based e-commerce system where warranties etc thing will direct store in the user account in form of NFT and only the user has permission to transfer it if he wants. No Seller or admin can transfer or burn it without permission of the user. We have also made an AutoWarrantyBurn server which automatically burns the warranty once the warranty has expired.

Challenges we ran into

The Real challenge with us was to Create a server that can automatically burn warranties of users once it has expired.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

After Reading tons of articles and official codes of zeppelin ERC720 we found that it is possible to burn user NTF without paying any gas fees by the user

What we learned

In this journey, we learned a lot

  • First, we have learned how a real blockchain
  • get to know different types of NFTS like ERC720, ERC1155
  • get a chance to work with web3
  • integration of a real blockchain wallet (Metamask) in our site

What's next for WarrantyVerse

We have planned a lot of things for this project like we will make a full e-commerce site where users can purchase the item and all bills, warranties, etc things will come in form of NFT in the user account.
