War of Coins - Ultra-short crypto options trading platform

Inspiration

Options trading can feel overwhelming, but what if there was a simpler way to start? War of Coins reimagines options trading by utilizing mathematical models and probability on the backend to offer ultra-short cryptocurrency options with a fresh, streamlined user experience. Thanks to this backend design, War of Coins can be seen as a Web2.5 product, adaptable for Web2 as well. However, the co-founders identified a significant gap in the Web3 space that War of Coins could fill, leading to its initial launch on Polygon.

What it does

Traders simply choose the price direction of an asset, and market volatility determines how their initial purchase moves through various multiplier levels within a set timeframe. Purchase windows open every hour, with options maturing 30 minutes after the window closes. The platform also offers American-style trading, allowing early exits, but if traders hold their positions, the options automatically mature in under 90 minutes.

How we built it

One of the co-founders spent years developing the mathematical model and probability-based price ladder for the platform. In 2022, a small team was formed to build the dApp. Unlike traditional options trading models like Black-Scholes, digital currency trading involves unique challenges such as perpetual trading and decentralized pricing. War of Coins addresses these challenges with a proprietary pricing engine that supports real-time intraday trading and adjusts for market volatility dynamically.

The War of Coins Arena, our trading platform, is live on the Polygon mainnet.

We faced funding difficulties due to the bear market, making it challenging to secure investors to take the project to the next level.

What we learned

We discovered a strong demand for simplified, ultra-short options trading as it offers a fresh perspective in the fintech space, especially appealing in the 24/7 crypto market.

What's next for War of Coins - Ultra-short crypto options trading platform

We're in discussions with several companies to apply War of Coins' mathematical model to Web2 and Web2.5 use cases. We aim to broaden our audience and secure funding to expand War of Coins onto additional Web3 platforms.
