Inspiration
The inspiration for "Wanna Come Out?" came from understanding the challenging journey individuals face when deciding to reveal their true selves to their loved ones. Recognizing the emotional need for a supportive and engaging way to share one's identity, we aimed to create a platform that not only eases this process but also adds an element of personal touch and creativity. The concept of a scratch-to-reveal message introduces a unique and interactive experience, transforming a moment of vulnerability into one of connection and anticipation.
What it does
"Wanna Come Out?" allows users to craft personalized coming-out messages for their loved ones in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment. Users can choose from various templates, add their personal touch through customization options, and then send a digital scratch card to their intended recipients.
How we built it
The app was built using Figma to develop framework to ensure accessibility across different devices and operating systems while utilizing a user-centric design approach.
Challenges we ran into
One of the primary challenges was prioritizing the ideas of the platform so that the users can navigate without confusion.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the fact that we figured out to prioritize the scratch-to-reveal segment and the overall design.
What we learned
