Inspiration : Travel planning often feels overwhelming tabs everywhere, scattered bookings, and cookie-cutter itineraries. We wanted to build something that made exploring the world feel smooth, smart, and delightful like having a travel-savvy friend who just gets your vibe.
What it does : WanderWise creates personalised travel experiences using AI. From smart destination suggestions and tailored itineraries to hotel picks and local events, everything is packed into one elegant platform with real-time maps, filters, and a built-in AI chat assistant.
How we built it : We used React 18 + TypeScript with Vite for fast, scalable development. Tailwind CSS powered the UI, enhanced by Framer Motion for smooth animations. React Router DOM handled navigation. We also used Swiper.js for carousels and React Hook Form for dynamic inputs.
Challenges we ran into: Crafting a clean and intuitive multi-step planner flow with state persistence was tricky. Integrating interactive maps while keeping performance high on mobile was another challenge. Also, balancing aesthetics with function took a few iterations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We’re proud of how visually cohesive and polished the entire experience feels from animations and layout to the seamless flow of the planner and dashboard. It feels like a real product, not just a prototype. and made this in the just one prompt.
What we learned: We deepened our experience working with complex UI systems, real-time state management, and responsive map integrations. We also learned how much great UX depends on thoughtful micro-interactions and pacing.
