Inspiration

We wanted a single intelligent platform that plans trips using AI, showing real-time safety, crowd levels, and personalized experiences.

What it does

WanderMate creates smart itineraries with Gemini, matches moods, predicts risks, and recommends hotels within budget.

How we built it

Built using Flask, Gemini API, and a Flutter WebView wrapper for Android with a dynamic dashboard UI.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating real-time AI generation, maintaining responsive UI, and handling undefined API responses in Flask templates.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a functional AI trip planner with live insights, risk prediction, and mobile deployment capability.

What we learned

We learned to integrate LLMs into full-stack apps, optimize UI design, and manage smooth Flask–Flutter communication.

What's next for WanderMate

Adding offline mode, voice-based planning, multi-language support, and live booking integrations.
