Inspiration

Our goal was to turn everyday purchases into a force for good - supporting sustainability and innovation while making it easy to contribute to a cleaner planet. We wanted to make use of Solana's decentralized technology and seamless staking capabilities. Your spare should not only help tackle sportswear pollution but also grow through staking, creating lasting value for you and the environment!

What it does

Powered by Solana, our app rounds up your payment for your next sports gear, sending the difference to a decentralized fund combating sportswear pollution. Your contributions don’t just help the planet—they're staked to grow at around 7% annually. It makes your every payment a step toward sustainability.

How we built it

Mostly with React Native (Expo) and the Solana API.

Challenges we ran into

For us it was interesting to learn how Solana's fast transactions work, how to set up a wallet and be able to use it, also it was very interesting and challenging for us to learn all of its transaction mechanics. And, of course with just 3 days of non-stop work (and almost no sleep) tested our limits—but it was all worth it!

What we learned

React Native is harder than it looks! Nothing is reusable in it!

What's next for Wander Wallet

We aim to partner with clothing markets to integrate our payment system, empowering businesses to join the fight against sportswear pollution. Together, we can make every purchase a step toward a sustainable future, driving impactful change for both consumers and the environment. .
