Inspiration
We realized how difficult it can be to keep track of personal finances. We realized that there was a need for a tool that could help people like me manage their finances more easily. We also noticed that many existing finance apps were complex and difficult to use, so we decided to create something that was user-friendly and easy to navigate. We wanted to create an app that would help people take control of their finances and achieve their financial goals. With this app, we hope to empower people to make better financial decisions and improve their financial well-being.
What it does
Introducing Wally - the ultimate finance management app. Designed to help you take control of your money and reach your financial goals. With our app, you can easily visualize your income and monthly expenses with the interactive pie chart, as well as manage your bills. Our user-friendly interface makes it simple to add transactions, categorize them, and view your spending habits. Wally includes powerful financial tools such as bill reminders, and simple buttons that that make it easy to add bills.
How we built it
One of the first things we did was draw out rough drafts for mockups of the app, which helped us to visualize how the app would look and function. We then used XML in Android Studio to design the user interface of the app. We also used the Android Studio's programming environment to write the code for the app. We used Java, a popular programming language for android development, to create the logic and functionality of the app. The log-in was created using Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
As we were creating our finance budget app on Android Studio, we ran into a few problems that we had to overcome. One of the main challenges we faced was creating a user-friendly interface that was easy to navigate. We spent a lot of time testing different layouts and designs to find the one that worked best for our users.
We also faced challenges with creating the interactive pie chart for the app. We wanted to make sure that users could easily create and manage their budgets, but it took a lot of time and effort to create an intuitive and efficient budgeting system.
