Inspiration

Wallent was born from a simple realization: most students and young people are never truly taught how money works in the real world. We learn theory, but not budgeting, investing, risk management, or collaborative finance. I wanted to build a platform where financial education is not just learned — it is experienced. On Wallent

What it does

Wallent is a financial learning and management platform designed for students and beginners. It combines education with real interaction by allowing users to:

  • Track personal expenses and financial habits which includes tracking emotional habits
  • Practice trading through demo environments and then moving them to live trading with the options of using own their own money, following a group pool or the shared investment system
  • Avoid Impulse Purchases by using the Impulse Controller
  • Conduct social challenges, view and share anonymous financial confessions and get anonymous financial advice
  • Set future alerts in order to cancel free trials on time and planning upcoming finances such as subscription renewals or rent etc..
  • Store receipts against their respective transactions in a receipt vault so that they are easily accessible and do not get lost
  • Easily split money on group trips between all the members and remind people who owe money
  • Decode and learn about complex financial terms, documents and news in a simplified manner
  • Learn about financial through Visual Novels with simulated real life situations so the user can make decisions as he would in real life and see the consequences for each decision himself
  • Use the life simulator to simulate his life journey over the next few years based on his financial data from the database

The goal is to make finance understandable, accessible, and engaging.

How I built it

The platform was designed and developed from scratch with a focus on modern UI/UX and realistic financial workflows. I worked on structuring the system into multiple modules such as dashboards, analytics, trading simulations, and collaborative finance features while ensuring the experience remains simple for beginners. The development process involved continuous iteration, testing interfaces, and refining how users interact with money digitally.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing financial systems that feel realistic while still being beginner-friendly. Balancing complexity with usability required multiple redesigns. Integrating different financial concepts into one unified platform without overwhelming users was another major hurdle.

  • Successfully creating a working prototype of Wallent
  • Building multiple unique one of a kind financial features within one ecosystem
  • Designing an intuitive interface for young users
  • Turning a conceptual idea into a functional platform demo

What I learned

This project taught me how technology, finance, and user experience intersect. I learned the importance of iterative development, problem-solving, and designing products around real user needs rather than assumptions.

What's next for Wallent

The next phase includes expanding financial simulations, improving analytics, adding smarter educational tools, and building a community-driven learning environment. The long-term vision is for Wallent to become a complete financial operating system for the next generation. Please note that this is simply a prototype of Wallent, the complete usable version of Wallent is under progress and will be available in a few months.
