Elevator Pitch
WallEY is a low-cost loyalty program enterprise solution for companies looking to build loyalty programs. The program utilizes the ownership and verification or NFT and blockchain technology.
Inspiration
As heartfelt shoppers, we always appreciate a good loyalty program. Unfortunately, we felt that the current loyalty programs do not reward us as customers well enough. All we get is a little bit of money for spending a lot of money. We thought there must be a more interesting and exciting way to bring together loyal customers and brands, so we came up with WallEY!
What it does
WallEY helps brands build customer loyalty. We do this by giving them the ability to reward their customers with NFTs which they can add utility to like discounts, access to exclusive events, and any other perks they deem valuable for their customers.
This solution’s utilization of blockchain technology allows for a much more cost-effective implementation of loyalty reward programs, as the security, verification, and database building steps in a traditional loyalty program procedure are ingrained into the basis of metaverse technology.
How we built it
We spent a lot of time defining the problem to help us gauge what our clients needs will be. We then decided on some features for a potential MVP and prioritized them based on how well they solve the problem.
After deciding on features and prioritizing the most important ones, we laid out what our prototype would look like in a Notion doc to get a good understanding of what we would be designing.
We then looked at existing products with a similar UI to what we were thinking, and designed our prototype in Figma which we can present to stakeholders.
Challenges we ran into
Narrowing the scope and focusing our efforts onto a particular target market, building an MVP that who’s success is measurable using KPIs. The biggest challenge was making sure the project is not “just-another-web3-product”, ensuring that web3 tech is actually improving the product to previously unattainable heights and moving the industry forward, in this case, in loyalty programs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The fact that we were able to finish and work efficiently and our teamwork! We are also proud of the product we have created, as it seamlessly takes advantage of blockchain technology while creating a simple solutions
What we learned
Working on this project has given us much more perspective on what challenges and problems PMs face and how they go about developing solutions for these. Coming up with the idea turns out to be the hardest part. Finding a target market and figuring out the specifics of the solution implementation take the most time.
