Inspiration

WalkSafe was created to tackle the problem of feeling unsafe, whether its on a blind date or walking on the streets at night. With the press of a button, our app is able to start tracking your coordinates to make sure you get to where you're going. If something happens, the release of the button will send a message out to your emergency contacts to let them know something happened. We seek to transform the outdated system of alerting authorities via 911, since that process is often slow. Our app allows authorities to instantly know the information they need.
