Inspiration
It's already 3:00 am. and thankfully you've just finished working on your art or CS project; however the last thing you want to do is to walk all the way back to your dorm alone!
What it does
Locates people walking to the same neighborhood, allows you to call the operator and keep them on call!
How we built it
The web server is built through flask and the mobile app simulator is built through react native
Challenges we ran into
Google map API was not free, it took some time to get it to work via flask
Figuring out the style and script with the flask project
Installing all the up to date dependencies for the react-native project
Trying to produce a web application without experience in HTML, or Javascript
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having markers on the map, having a prototype for both the mobile and web application
What we learned
Learned decent amount of web and app development
