Inspiration

bad restaurant-service experience!

What it does

It will serve tables, using an autonomous RC car that knows the location of the tables through an SVG file, that is bluetooth conncted to an android app for functionalities.

How we built it

We built it using the motor, and wheels of an RC car, and replacing the logic chip with an arduino that we programmed to drive forwards, backwards, etc... It is connected via a bluetooth chip, and controlled by an android app.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the arduino to digitally power the DC motor without external batteries. Also, our biggest challenge was bluetooth... We simply did not know enough

Building, and programming the logic on the arduino!

how difficult hardware hacks are!!

What's next for Waitless

Hopefully implementation in chain restaurants, that claim they have fast service, but don't.

I focused on the hardware of this project, using arduino and circuits knowledge I helped with a major part of putting together the RC vehicle and created the functions that the vehicle follows to move.
