Inspiration
One of the main reason I had gone to a conference in 2019 was to get my college application fee waived from all the academic sponsors. I had gone to several booths and the universities handed me the college app waiver code in a paper. When I had gotten back to my home from the conference, I had realized I had misplaced 2 of the waiver code out of 10 code I had gotten from the universities in the conference which resulted in a loss of $300 considering each university application fee was $150 and those colleges were my top priority
What it does
Waiive is an azure web app that allows you to grab your waiver code in the conference and post it to the college's system so that when you start applying to the college, in the college portal, your fee would already be waived.
How we built it
Built with Azure and node js
Challenges we ran into
It was my first time interacting with Azure function app/ API management service so there was a big learning curve but eventually made it through.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Have an web app deployed in azure.
What we learned
What's next for Waiive
Integrating platforms like college app with waiive so that college app can pull the info from waiive app
Built With
