💡 Inspiration
We are a team that focused on helping those who need it, so our general idea was to connect people who want to improve in their studies (or in their life) with people who are willing to help. We asked ourselves questions like: Do you need a reinforcement in some subjects that you didn't understand in class? do you want someone to listen or guide you? to reach an answer like: don't worry, we hope this application can help you. With that great motivation and momentum we decided to create Waffle Coach.
📱 What it does
The goal of Waffle Coach is to let young people know that they can count on a helping hand to guide, teach and advise them. The help of this application is divided into two parts, the first is to reinforce the topics seen in class and the second is to be able to help them in their physical and mental health.
🔧 How we built it
After having the motivating idea, we decided to make it a mobile application, so that it is always with you if you need it and for this we used: Java, Android Studio, Firebase, PHP and MySQ.
💪 Challenges we ran into
Time and place, although we are all from the same country, now we are in very distant places so we needed to keep in line very often to coordinate well the steps to do. However, we are happy to have finished Waffle Coach as a group.
✨ Accomplishments that we're proud of
In addition to sending our project out and having it seen by a large audience, we are proud to know that Waffle Coach will possibly reach young people who need help not only in their studies but also in their personal lives.
✌ What we learned
Thanks to the workshops in this hackathon, we learned something new and reinforced some important topics, some were applied in Waffle Coach, like the Figma workshop to have a more eye-catching prototype.
📌 What's next for WAFFLE COACH
There are still many segments we want to add in Waffle Coache, but always focusing on helping today's youth for a better future tomorrow.
