We wanted to create a platform that could encourage people to make wise financial decisions. The inspiration for this project came from the significant amount of overpriced financial education courses and programs online. We wanted to make a platform that was affordable and easily accessible.

It is a hub of financial education and includes a financial calculator and a budget calculator. The goal is to increase the amount of tools on the service in the future as well.

We planned out the website with a google doc and began coding the website with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This is our first website so it took a little time to understand the syntax of these languages. With the help of online resources and tools, we were able to create the website.

The HTML, CSS and JavaScript syntax is not something we are familiar with so it took a little time to understand how to start. However, we did some research and focused on learning aspects of the language as we went.

We are happy that we were able to put this much of the website together and learn how to Code in HTML and CSS relatively fast. The project building experience was enriching and motivates us to participate in hackathons in the future.

We learned that you will likely run in to several errors in your code, but you must stay confident that it will come together. Also, we learned that online resources are extremely helpful to understand new material. We made us of lots of online resources.

We hope to work to expand the website to include more financial calculators, resources and other tools to provide low-cost financial education to all.
