Inspiration
The average Saudi consumption is 265 liters per person, which is 2x the world average consumption . And Household leaks can waste more than 1 trillion gallons annually nationwide.
What it does
Disaggregate the water usage in into Kitchen,Washing,Shower etc., from the Residential water meter data. Create insights to end-users and alerts when there is a water leak. Water balancing and feed the data to the central utility management system
How we built it
Using the Arduino & Cloud IoT platform the water management dashboard can be created.
Challenges we ran into
- Building the dashboard.
- Simulation constant flow of water (leak)

What's next for Wacon
- Apply Machine learning to disaggregate the water consumption using water flow trace signature.
- Expanding the system to cover every aspects of water management and analysis.
- Improve the user experience and automate some part of the system.
