Inspiration
I took inspiration from physics sandbox games and used spells as an easy way to allow mobile players to interact with the environment
What it does
players can complete the only up tower to collect coins, or by messing about with the spells will earn them coins, this allows them to buy and try out new and different spells
How we built it
I utilized the simple shooting mechanics template to control the player inputs then I used the prop definitions to define the spells that are loaded into the weapon, which allowed me to make new spells easily
Challenges we ran into
I ran into problems when working around server/client code execution
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was very proud of making the spells modular to allow me to make new spells, even spells that don't use projectiles
What we learned
how to better control code execution between server and client in meta horizons worlds
What's next for Wacky Wizards
I hope to include more spells and seasonal areas to introduce wacky ways for players to interact
