We got the idea for our gadget from Versal's community forum. There was a member who was requesting a gadget similar to the typing tests found on 10fastfingers.com.
Most of Versal's gadgets are meant to be teaching tools, our gadget included. There are two target user groups in this case: the educator and the students. The words are meant to be for a 3rd or 4th grade reading level, so younger students will be able to take the skill test without too much trouble.
Rather than being proud of any one feature, we are proud of how quickly we were able to write a functional gadget. None of us had really used javascript before this project; fortunately, we have all done a lot of coding using C++. This prior knowledge allowed us to quickly learn enough to make our gadget.
