Inspiration

Business is booming for small business owners. In order to encourage sustainability, we wanted to target packaging logistics to help small business owners make the best decisions.

What it does

Taking a picture of the box and the items that need to be packaged, our web app can fit the items into the package to see overall fit. On top of that, it can detect if there is a potential savings if a better package is used as well as potential carbon footprint reduction.

How we built it

We used tensorflow for image detection and pipelined into our website using react. We also used tailwind for CSS management. Our website was then deployed using MS Azure.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to deploy the github to MS Azure due to issues of npm versions. MS Azure uses an older version of npm.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to upload an image from a file to the web app and detect objects.

What we learned

We learned that react compatibility is important to deploy in MS Azure

What's next for FitMY

We would like to be able to link other packaging options so that small business owners can browse their options and possible buy what they need right away.
