Vyridian helps you make smarter spending decisions in real time. Instead of just tracking your money, we guide you while you shop—showing how each purchase impacts your goals and the environment.
Inspiration -> we were inspired by all the kids around us that would grow up and struggle with finances because noone was there to help them, and all of the programs that were available never helped teach them with personalized spending plans or how your purchase would impact the environment.
What it does -> our product helps gen-z manage their money and spending, since most of the worlds shopping is done online now we have a chrome extension that tells you how this impacts your spending goals if you were to buy this item
How we built it -> We used AI to build a base website so we could focus on more pressing matters like making our AI and the chrome extension. After AI built the base, we used our own coding skills to change the UI, make it look better, and finally pull everything together (the AI and the chrome extension)
Challenges we ran into -> the chrome extension was not working for a long time and we had to spend a long time debugging the extension, we also had to make it look good as that is one of the biggest things that people look for to trust a company.
Accomplishments that we're proud of -> This is the first time we have ever made a chrome extensions, we also spent a lot of time researching and understanding the market for this idea.
What we learned-> we learned so many different skills, we learned how to work together using github, we learned how to make good looking powerpoints, and finally we learned how to make an AI.
What's next for Vyridian -> we would make it so that it works with more retailers.
