Inspiration

From personal experience, we realized family and friends who want to go on vacation together can't always find the most convenient time for everyone because everyone has vastly different schedules. College kids vacation at different times, our friends' work days are different, and parents are juggling each of their individual work schedules as is. We wanted to create an algorithm and tool to find the perfect vacation days that work for everyone. Everyone likes vacations. :)

What it does

VVhen will take into account your groups' individual schedules and travel preferences and spits out the most compatible days and places to stay based on that information.

How we built it

With a lot of patience and love! But, also with HTML, CSS, a mixture of APIs, Angular.js, Digital Ocean web hosting, and possibly other smaller pieces that we might have forgotten are because of lack of sleep.

Challenges we ran into

This whole process was new to us, so nothing came extremely easy, it was more trial and error than anything. The time constraint was tough because our last couple pages are not as pretty and polished as we would like them to be.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

EVERYTHING ! We accomplished a lot in very little time and we executed a solid plan that we created from the beginning. Also... especially proud of the calendar synchronizing mechanism and pretty home page.

What we learned

We learned how to plan a solid idea quick and also adjust quickly as well.

What's next for VVHEN

Making it more polished, future add-ons to make the user experience better, such as adding weather indicators, flights alerts, possible accommodations and places to visit.
