Inspiration
After visiting a blind school for charity work, I realized how accessibility is a granted luxury for some, while for the visually impaired, it is a luxury. After seeing them restricted in almost all aspects of life, I decided that a change is required. What better way than to use the most powerful tool, technology, to bring a big change?
What it does
Our project has object detection, environment description, AI personalization, and more features. Through these features, our product creates a whole experience that elevates the standard of daily lifestyle for the visually impaired.
How we built it
Using IoT components such as a webcam, a trashy pair of sunglasses, and Python to utilize open-source libraries and modules such as openCV, and PyTorch, we built the features of Vult AI.
Challenges we ran into
Faced issues with integrating features as outputs would frequently clash. Moreover, accuracy was a key factor that needed to be extremely high for it to be a successful product. This took some time but was eventually achieved.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Overcoming the challenges and making a product which is fully functional with good accuracy and ready for testing.

Testing with communities, iterative feedback for developing minimum viable product and hopefully gain mentorship and funds in the future to create impact for individuals that need it.
