Inspiration

We were inspired by the lack of resources present for the vulnerable in society to seek

What it does

Uses a simple user interface to allow vulnerable groups to access community networks.

How we built it

We made use of react as the Frontend, Flask as our API and Supabase as our Backend. We also used a Support vector regression Machine learning model for calculating the vulnerability score of the beneficiaries.

Challenges we ran into

Managing all the different functions and operations and integrating all the different components. It was also a challenge having 2 of our teammates back out at the last minute.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of implementing a Machine Learning algorithms (Support Vector Regression using GridSearchCV).

What we learned

While working on the product, we learned about the challenges that vulnerable people face, in order to better tailor a solution for them.

What's next for Vulneros

We will implement other functions, such as a reccomendation algorithm for beneficiaries that shows them events that they are interested in.
