We wanted to learn and test our skills in some domain and we got this opportunity to explore new technologies. We always felt like some new features and a better UI can be added to the Vtop and that inspired us to make this prototype.
We haven't added a lot of features but the intention here was to showcase a better and interactive UI for everyone to use, with some new innovative sides to the portal as well. Starting off with a whole new starting page to the main login page. The new page represents the whole university in the background, as well as the emails have been provided to the students and teachers there only if incase they are facing some kind of issue. From that page, we get two options, i.e, to get directed to the student login page or the teacher login page. We have tried to make a more pleasing page which strikes up better than before. Of course, the whole system and all the working features are connected to a Database too. As soon as the user logs in, they will find a complete new user experience Vtop portal as they logs in. We have added colourful cards to make it more visible and vibrant. We have added some of the basic features with a better experience. Even the interface to change ids or passwords are made easier for the user to do. Lastly, we have added a clinic section where a student can book an appointment with the doctor as an innovative feature. The doctor details can be previewed as well. Last but not the least, this is a prototype and an initiative to make an overall better Vtop.
We used PHP and mysql as the base of the project and made features that are connected to the databases as well.
We faced a lot of issues in these three days as time was less and there were many things to add. Solving those issues and making the project together was a big challenge for us.
We are proud of the fact that we made the following prototype in such less time, adding all the features and fixing all the errors and bugs before the deadline for submission.
We learned time management, better code implementation, and better skills for making even better projects in the future.
