The original goal was to bring engine diagnostics and telemetry straight to the user via an interface such as Google Glass. Glass was not available to us, so we decided to scale down to a similar idea, still using the OBDII Data, but using the standard Android interface. As it stands, our target audience would include parents (who want to monitor their kids' driving) and companies or people who loan out vehicles (for example, monitoring fuel levels on a work truck over the course of a day or week).

Key Features:

Use of OpenXC (provided by Ford) with Bluetooth Compatibility & API Usage

Profile Write: Save car data and contact info so it need not be redundantly entered with each use of the app.

Data logging: The primary function runs in the background once launched, logging values from OBDII and checking them in real time against values flagged for notification (such as a maximum speed value set by a concerned parent).

Report Generator: Each time the service runs, it writes to a file that stores the essential information given by OBDII. This file can be sent to the desired contact, containing a compilation of all desired data in one place.
