Disasters can occur unpredictably and it could be traumatic for kids, especially if they don’t know what to do. Children depends on daily routine which is often interrupted at times of emergencies and can be anxiety provoking for them.

Unintentional injuries are leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the pediatric population. Preventive measures can be taken to ensure the safety of children. Virtual reality simulations provide novel innovative ways to engage children in active role playing scenarios, preparing them to adopt safety measures and respond when disasters strike.
