Executive Summary
VR-TR is a platform that will allow theme parks, such as Disney, to train their employees using virtual reality. Employees can learn all the safety procedures, radio protocol and resume operations. All this can be done remotely and interactively, where different scenarios can be simulated. The benefits include:
Reducing accidents, as it has shown better training results.
Less physical contact (which can prevent contagious diseases such as COVID-19).
Decreasing the risk factor of using the different automatic games.
In addition, VR-TR reduces paper consumption of items like paper instructions, plans, logs, and forms and the need for storage containers to hold the documents.
VR-TR will reduce fuel and emissions by allowing users to commute less from location to location. The use of VR-TR decreases the company's transportation, lodging, and food expenses for everyone involved in training. The platform ensures that employees are up to date on all information and eliminates the need to look through outdated copies of reports.
The software to be used is Unity and the platform will require course design. With a monthly subscription fee per employee of $25/month, the platform’s profit will increase after the initial stage of the project.
