Inspiration
MRTK3 Hackathon - New way to solve an old problem.
Memorizing times tables is obligatory in many countries around the world. Old methods for kids can be pretty boring for kids and especially boring for special needs kids.
I have had this dream for several years to build a VR Times Tables game where pirates are fighting and kids are having fun while learning times tables!
Now with MRTK3, I could finally make this dream happen quite easily.
How we built it
Unity3D + MRTK3 I really liked the simplicity of MRTK3 UX tools and that I can create interfaces with Unity UI. Great job! 3D models are from Unity Marketplace
App tested with Acer headset and Microsoft Motion Controllers.
What's next for VR Times Tables Pirates
Finalize the product and put it publicly available in Microsoft Store. Still, some polishing is needed and I will add in-app purchases and make the game available to all kids worldwide. Would like to test how the game works on non-Windows VR devices too.
