Inspiration:
Apple Photo Album Integration
What it does
Our project seamlessly combines Apple's photo album with Google Maps and Virtual Reality (VR). By clicking on a building, users can enter a virtual space equipped with historical information about the building and a collection of pictures taken by others who visited before.
How we built it
We utilized Unity for the VR component, Python for image information processing with reverse geocoding, and C# for integrating image information. Additionally, we employed C# for AI cohere, enabling us to summarize and generate captions for the photo album.
Challenges we ran into
Our team faced the initial learning curve of incorporating AI cohere and working with C#. Extracting image information and determining a picture's location proved to be challenging and stretched our technical capabilities.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully implemented C# to retrieve image information and utilized an array to check if a given location falls within the building's coordinates.
What we learned
Throughout this project, we gained valuable experience in C#, Unity, Python (with Google Maps API integration), file handling, and working with language learning models and AI tools.
