Inspiration

Working within the healthcare industry, my team and I realized that visualizing ultrasound images has always been a hard process. Nevertheless, it is essential for a lot of new procedures to understand it correctly. That's why we embark on a journey to accelerate that understanding through practice and better visualization structures.

What it does

You are a doctor practicing a standard heart ultrasound procedure, in the aim of detecting if anything is off with your patients.

How we built it

With standalone VR, and we use some of the best optimization practices for a truly accessible experience.

Challenges we ran into

Most of the healthcare industry is not familiar with VR, so making it as accessible as possible for newcomers has been the biggest challenge yet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Teaching medical students and experienced doctors in minutes what previously took years to understand.

What we learned

VR can be a revolutionary weapon when matched with the right application

What's next for VR Echocardiography Training

More and more complex patient cases, a robust evaluation system, real-time pathologies, multi-language localization, and the development of a scientific study to prove its efficacy.
