Inspiration Behind VoyaGr:

The inspiration behind VoyaGr came from a group of college sophomores who were passionate about travel but faced the constant struggle of budget constraints. They saw a need for an app that would make trip planning easier and more budget-friendly, so they decided to build one.

What it Does:

VoyaGr automates the itinerary creation process by using advanced algorithms to search for the best deals on flights, accommodations, and activities based on the user's budget and preferences. The app also provides recommendations for places to visit, things to do, and restaurants to eat at, all based on the user's budget. In addition, the app has a community forum which directs users to such places that are away from the tourist hotspots, thus helping the local culture of a region that has not gained attention despite being spectacular. Users can share reviews and insights, share their itinerary, photos, and experience, with others, making it easier to make informed decisions about their trips. Finally, the app has smart home device connectivity, allowing users to automatically turn their home appliances off when they go beyond a pre-determined radius of their home, so they can relax and enjoy their trip without worrying about their home.

How We Built It:

The development of VoyaGr was a collaboration between the team of college sophomores who brought their unique skill sets to the table. The team worked tirelessly to bring their vision to life, overcoming numerous challenges along the way. From developing the algorithms that power the app to building the user interface, the team worked closely together to build an app that was both functional and user-friendly.

Challenges We Ran Into:

Building a cutting-edge travel app is no easy task, and the team faced numerous challenges along the way. From finding the right APIs to integrate into the app to developing algorithms that would accurately match the user's budget and preferences, the team worked tirelessly to overcome these challenges. Despite the difficulties, the team remained committed to their vision and was determined to build a world-class app.

We are proud of the hard work and dedication that went into building VoyaGr. From the development of the algorithms that power the app to the user interface design, we are proud of the work that went into making VoyaGr a reality. The number of fully functioning features that we were able to integrate into the app is another big thing for us.

What We Learned:

The development of VoyaGr was a journey of learning and discovery for the team. We learned about the complexities of building a travel app, from finding the right APIs to integrating smart home device connectivity. Working with Flutter was quite new for the team members, hence developing a complex app made us familiar with a new technology. We also learned about the importance of collaboration and teamwork, as we worked closely together to bring our vision to life.

What's Next for VoyaGr:

We have big plans for the future with VoyaGr. Our goal is to continue improving the app, adding new features and expanding its reach like connecting more hardware devices to the smart home feature and implement AR in addition to VR for a more wholesome experience. We are also committed to making travel more accessible and affordable for everyone, and believe that VoyaGr is the perfect tool to do just that.
