Voyago Landing Page

Voyago is an easy-to-use E-commerce travel app that tracks which places you have gone to and gives personalized destinations to which you should visit. It also helps you search for destinations.

The inspiration behind Voyago is that we wanted to make a website that could easily search for travel destinations, as currently many of these websites(like Booking.com) are hard to navigate and they are full of hidden fees/details which might not be shown to the user, and we tried to acomplish this via web scraping and API's but we ran into issues and time constraints during this. Additionally, we sought a method for recording your trips, and with that data, we could provide personalized results (still in development). Thats why we decided to make this with Skand, making the front-end design part of this website, and Chizhinime helping on the design and other components of the backend.

The landing page is based on the original Figma design, which was inspired by a template. Then we translated it into an actual webpage with the help of Next.js, Tailwind, and CSS to perfectly recapture the website, while making it responsive for every screen type and interactive, and we used back-end databases and other technologies to ensure optimal performance and scalability. This page features a responsive design, dynamic content, and other interactive elements.

One significant technical challenge was installing dependencies on the local Windows Command Prompt terminal, which severely impacted productivity and progress. However, the creator overcame this obstacle by using Vagrant along with a Git Bash terminal to create a personalized local development environment. The successful implementation of Vagrant and the Git Bash terminal proved to be a game-changer in overcoming technical challenges. The creator is proud of the seamless blend of design aesthetics and functional prowess showcased on the landing page. The project taught the creator the importance of early planning, thorough research, and adaptability in the development process. The creator also learned the value of seeking guidance and support from mentors and peers to overcome challenges and enhance project outcomes. The creator is eager to apply the lessons learned from this project to future endeavors, contributing to meaningful and impactful solutions in the realm of full-stack development. The landing page serves as a cornerstone in shaping the creator's engineering path, and they are committed to continuous learning and growth in the field.
