Voya

Inspiration

I built Voya because I love traveling, and for me planning a trip is one of the most exciting parts of the journey. At the same time, I know how long and overwhelming planning can be. I wanted to create an app that keeps the joy of dreaming while removing the friction.

What it does

Voya is an AI travel app that helps women take the first step toward their dream trips. A user describes the trip they want to take, and the app generates a clear, structured, and personalized itinerary they can actually follow.

How we built it

We built Voya in 7 days in a hackathon-style sprint. I worked with a designer and developer I found on Instagram, and we collaborated fully remotely. We defined the core user flow (dream → plan → go), designed a clean and visual interface, and implemented AI-powered itinerary generation. We worked in short feedback loops, brainstorming, designing, and building in parallel on weekends.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was time. We had many ideas and features we wanted to include, but we had to focus on the core experience and make trade-offs. Another challenge was structuring AI outputs so they are not just creative, but also realistic and easy to follow.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built and shipped a working product in just 7 days. That's something to be proud of.

What we learned

I didn't realize how fast a focused team can move when there is clarity and shared vision. Finally, we reinforced the idea that great collaborators can be found anywhere in the world.

What's next for Voya

We will continue improving the AI engine. We plan to expand features around safety, booking support, and trip management. The long-term goal is to make Voya the easiest way for women to go from a travel idea to a fully planned and confident trip.
