Inspiration
Enterprise analytics suffers from "Dashboard Rot"—inconsistent branding, accessibility failures, and performance bottlenecks that erode user trust. We built Vox Populi to act as a Governance Command Center, moving design from a subjective opinion to a programmable standard.
What it does
Vox Populi is a multi-agent AI system that:
- Audits: Scans workbooks against a "Design Constitution" of 396 standards.
- Fixes: Uses a surgical XML Mutation Engine to auto-remediate formatting and layout errors.
- Certifies: Generates a unique "Design DNA" badge and full technical documentation (Auto-Scribe).
- Consults: Provides a 24/7 AI Design Consultant via Gemini 2.0 to help architects build better.
How we built it
- Backend: Python-based XML manipulation engine.
- Intelligence: Multi-agent pipeline using Gemini 2.0 Fast-Exp for visual and narrative analysis.
- Integration: Tableau REST API and Metadata API for deep workbook interaction.
- Interface: React-based Tableau Desktop Extension.
- Connectivity: Slack API for enterprise-grade notifications and remote approval.
Challenges we overcame
Handling complex Tableau XML without corrupting workbook integrity was a massive technical hurdle. We developed a non-destructive mutation layer to ensure data remains untouched while visual styles are perfected.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully reduced the time for a standard production audit from 4 hours of manual labor to under 30 seconds of automated execution.
