Inspiration

In San Francisco, 51% of coffee shops and 89% of restaurants are local small businesses. Small businesses add character and vibrancy to any city. As people are shifting to ask AI to find recommendations for the next local coffee shop to check out, small businesses are getting buried – under wrong facts, subpar descriptions. Because AI gets it wrong.

Business Model

We demoed a pizza shop (SF's Golden Boy Pizza), but local businesses will be asking 'how are personal agents recommending us?' A free visibility snapshot hooks the owner. From there, Vouch sells a one-time fix ($39) to correct listings and data, with the option of a monthly monitoring plan ($39/mo) that brings in recurring revenue. Each audit costs under $2, and a customer could be worth about 10× what it costs to win them. Vouch grows through outbound sales, local business associations and agency partners.

What it does

Vouch helps small businesses thrive in this new era so small businesses can focus on what they do best – and let Vouch focus on auditing and editing websites for better AEO.

How we built it

It finds a local business, checks what AI says about it, builds the copy page fix, and sells it to the business. Auditing and inspection is free – owners can pay to get their websites completely edited automatically. We used all the sponsorship tools - Brainbase Labs for the agent orchestration, Anthropic for AI search queries, Cloudflare for hosting and dev workers, and Stripe for payments. Our product touches on all three tracks. Slack for tracking agent actions through tickets provided by Linear.

Challenges we ran into

Brainbase agent setup and debugging took quite a bit of time near the end, especially as our infra was complex to manage with multiple agents involved.
