Inspiration

Voting can be intimidating. Information regarding candidates and propositions is often dense and confusing. Therefore, we asked the question: How might we make information more digestible and understandable to help voters feel informed and confident on their decision?

What it does

Through Votential, voters can quickly find neutral, evidence-based information to better understand how certain political agendas may affect their lives. This mobile app lists the candidates on the user’s upcoming ballot, explains ballot measures, and suggests votes based on a stance quiz.

What we learned

Through this project, we further familiarize ourselves with Figma and improve upon our visual and interaction design skills. Though it was challenging working remotely with new teammates, we learned a lot from each other and enjoyed the entire process.
