Unfortunately, the only person who can change the repository to public access is asleep. We had a great time at Swamphacks VII but being completely unexperienced, something is bound to go wrong. Thank you for taking time to judge this competition.
Inspiration
The name comes from the roman word speak.
What it does
Vorbi is a text to speech app that allows users to use quick access buttons for convenient communication, or set their own buttons for commonly used phrases.
How we built it
We built Vorbi in android studio using Java.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into every challenge imaginable. It was every team members first hackathon as well as first time building an android app. We learned everything from scratch and had a challenge every step of the way.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of making an app that runs with no experience in app development or Android Studio.
What we learned
We learned how to develop a UI in android studio and implement Text to Speech in an app. Along with making everything work fluidly.
What's next for Vorbi
The next step for Vorbi is to be put onto the app store so that anyone can use it.
