Inspiration

We wanted to assist all high school students who would want to look for any volunteer work available

What it does

It allows organizations to to list any volunteer opportunities while allowing volunteers to look through and pick up any volunteer opportunities available in any select area they choose.

How we built it

We utilized visual studio code

Challenges we ran into

As it was the first time some of us had programmed with css and html there where many times we had minor syntax errors that led to minutes of frustration. That along with learning how to work with flask along with its sqlalchemy section led to a challenging but entertaining time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully debugged many errors that we came through even though it was the first time we had come into contact with many of the languages of which some had less than optimal documentation.

What we learned

Most of us learnt new languages in which to program with along with new ways to utilize older languages.

What's next for VolunteerMe

We would like to add a search function for volunteers to narrow down opportunities through location and other tags. We would also like volunteers to be allowed to create their own accounts and upload documents.
