Inspiration
I am trying to get my Eagle Scout Rank and in doing so I had trouble finding a good Eagle scout project. I decided that this would be a great way to help out the community's volunteers.
What it does
This website has a forum page where organizations can post their opportunities and volunteers can respond and help those organizations out.
How we built it
I used HTML CSS and JS to code this webpage.
Challenges we ran into
I ran into the big problem of the JS for the page and the JS for my nav bar clashing and the navbar ended up not working on some pages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am really proud of my contact page as well as the fact that I got the search in the forum to work. This took a lot of researching and I really struggled with it at one point.
What we learned
I have learned a lot more about databases and JavaScript
What's next for Volunteer Connect
I want to create AI recommendations as well as a page for all of a volunteers liked posts.
