Volume is a social e-reader designed for the classroom. Professors upload reading assignments on the application, and students access the documents via Volume. The reading assignment is rendered in a clean and modern interface in a web browser. Students can highlight passages and make annotations in the margins. All activity on the application is updated and rendered live to all students, and the application enables students to engage in discussions at each annotation.

Volume brings collaborative learning tools traditionally seen in STEM fields to the humanities and social sciences. Critical reading need no longer be an isolated activity.
