Tangled jumper wires and misplaced connections routinely burn out expensive microcontrollers and ICs before code even runs. We created VoltVision around the motto "Build Without Fear" to give students and hobbyists an intelligent bench assistant that visually detects circuit faults before power-up. Snapshots are triggered via web upload or an ESP32 tactile button over serial . Frames are processed with OpenCV and routed through a decoupled Flask backend (app.py, Protocol Buffers) before being sent to Nebius for multimodal visual analysis. The model audits pin alignment, wire congestion, and rail polarity . Finally, pyttsx3 voices immediate diagnostic instructions so builders keep their hands on their probes

Challenges Faced

Visual Occlusion: Distinguishing overlapping jumper wires from true electrical junctions required rigorous vision prompt tuning . Bench Ergonomics: Cloud API endpoints eliminate costly custom edge hardware , while physical button capture and audio feedback keep builders' hands off the keyboard
