Inspiration

The inspiration for VoltVillage stems from the desire to streamline and decentralize the energy market, eliminating intermediaries in energy transfer and fostering a direct connection between energy buyers and sellers. Our aim is to empower users to make sustainable energy choices seamlessly.

What it does

VoltVillage serves as a peer-to-peer energy marketplace, connecting renewable energy producers directly with consumers. Through a decentralized platform, users can buy and sell energy efficiently, promoting sustainability and reducing dependence on traditional utility grids.

How we built it

We built VoltVillage using a robust combination of modern technology for secure transactions and a user-friendly web application interface. React+AWS facilitate transparent and automated energy transactions, ensuring a seamless experience for both buyers and sellers.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was developing a secure and scalable platform while maintaining simplicity for end-users. Integrating google maps posed technical hurdles, particularly in terms of ensuring real-time transaction and minimizing energy consumption in the process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have successfully created a functional prototype that demonstrates the viability of our concept. Our platform not only empowers users but also contributes to a more sustainable and decentralized energy ecosystem.
