Inspiration

How hot it was getting here in Eastvale made me realize that climate change and rising utility bills from things such as AC's and water usage. I wanted to build a tool that could help others with this same problem. I made this website in this green and white color to show like clean energy.

What it does

Ecosense is an interactive sustainability dashboard designed to help users keep track and optomize their energy and water metrics. Some key features include: real time data overview, analytical visualization, and an AI Sustainability Coach.

How we built it

I built this website with a modern, high performance web tech stack to guarantee a responsive user experiuence. I added a frontend framework, a neat styling and layout, and i made the icons interactive a litte.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was establishing a stable live backend connection and also API tokens. Since i had very limited budget in my tokens, I could not test that much and had to result to other ways of testing which were not 100%.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Im proud i finished the website obviously, but also that this actually has a fully responsive frontend layout architecture. Also that it has a smooth user interaction and a aesthetic interface. And quick action prompt buttons which were really hard to add in.

What we learned

The development cycle depend our understanding of creating websites in total but most importantly in how important the backend is for the entire project.

What's next for Ecosense

I would like to improve on the project, get more tokens in my API key so i can improve this project easily.
