Inspiration

Our team were inspired to make a game based on volleyball, due to our passion for the sport. We drew inspiration from games such as, Flappy Bird and added a volleyball twist.

What it does

Floaty the ball has to maneuver through 6 opponents, a level is complete when Floaty reaches the end of the court without colliding with the purple receiver and while staying inside the court. When players complete a level, they are propelled to more advanced levels. Levels evolve with ascending levels of difficulty. Players will use the "s" and "w" keys to navigate through the court and avoid obstacles.

What's next for Floaty Ball

We plan to add more levels with ascending levels of difficulty, where receivers move around the court making it harder for players to navigate pass them. we also plan to implement a leader board and improve the games graphics.

It was my first time using pygame but I have to say that it was a very good experience and I learned a lot from it and from my fellow team members. I worked on the sound effects as well as the background music. I conducted research on how to implement certain components such as adding texts with different fonts and adding new levels to the game.
