Inspiration

Many students in remote provinces are filled with potential but lack access to mentors, opportunities, or skill-building platforms. As students ourselves, we saw the need for a more inclusive platform—one that not only recommends personalized learning and events but also helps bridge the networking gap many young Filipinos face. This is why we named our app "VOLARE" which means "to fly".

What it does

Volare Careers is an AI-powered upskilling and career discovery platform designed for young students and young professionals—especially those in underserved areas. Users take a skill assessment that helps tailor personalized learning paths, recommend upskilling events (like webinars, competitions, and bootcamps). It also includes an achievement tracker to help users visualize their growth and goals.

How we built it

Our team focused on building an engaging and user-friendly design that communicates the platform’s mission clearly. We combined our UI/UX strengths to lay the foundation for a seamless user experience, emphasizing accessibility and clarity in every design choice.

Challenges we ran into

A key hurdle was the limited time available during development, which restricted us from building an interactive prototype. However, we maximized what we had and produced a thorough and well-structured concept design that effectively communicates our vision for Volare.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re incredibly proud of how we came together as a team—sharing ideas, designing collaboratively, and pushing boundaries despite constraints.

What we learned

This experience taught us the value of combining purpose with innovation. We also realized that designing with empathy—truly understanding the challenges of our target users—can drive impactful solutions.

What's next for VOLARE

We’re excited to move beyond concept and begin building a working prototype. Ultimately, we hope Volare can become a trusted platform for guiding the next generation of talent—no matter where they’re from.
