Inspiration+ Introduction
Forget likes, comments, and shares. This is anti-social media: a deletion-only feed that evolves by erasure. What’s left standing says more about us than what’s created. A chaotic social experiment where posting is banned and deleting is the only way to play. The feed begins full of memes, quotes, and nonsense -but only destruction decides what survives. The origin of this platform is rooted down to a simple question: "What if social media was not about posting, but about deleting?" What if a platform’s main activity is destruction, not creation? Will people engage more by removing than posting?
What it does
A platform which has an endless up-to-date collection of memes, quotes and content which updates everyday and its you who decide what you want to see. The feed starts pre-loaded with random posts (memes, quotes, images, nonsense). Every user’s only power is to remove what they don’t like. No likes, no comments, no shares - just the thrill of erasure. Over time, the feed evolves not by creation, but by destruction. What survives longest? The funniest meme? The most boring post? The most controversial thought?
How we built it
First, I tried using lovable to build the site- did not turn out well, a thousand errors, bad UI, bad demo posts (AI has literally no humor) Next, I migrated to Cursor, used brain dump to optimize prompts, spent 5 hours with 200mg of caffeine debugging, writing and repeating (i did not sleep) and finally the prototype was ready.
Challenges we ran into
Thousands of errors in j.son file and deployment on github, UI not updating (maybe my pc error), sleep, short on coffee but ALL of it was absolutely worth it!
Accomplishments and learning
When i showed this to my father, he was amazed by this unusual and reckless idea, so its big win! Moreover this taught me the importance of enthusiasm in your work. If i were not hooked to this very idea of code hypothesis, i would have slept, wasted my time, and basically let my brain rot! So a journey with many lessons on the power of initiation, caffeine, and enthusiasm.
What's next for Void-Reverse Social Media
Will look for validation through surveys (google forms), research on trends, market analysis and positioning, launching within a week, getting better and maybe create the next Reverse-Facebook!
