Inspiration

The challenge of creating engaging AI avatar conversations inspired us to build Syntrio. Most platforms require complex technical setup and multiple tools, creating barriers for users who want to experience live AI interactions. We envisioned a simple, intuitive solution that could democratize access to AI avatar technology.

What it does

Syntrio is an AI-powered conversational platform that enables users to create live AI avatar conversations through a streamlined 3-step wizard. Users can set up content, select languages, choose from four unique AI avatars (Anna, Nathan, Sabrina, Steve), and instantly launch live video conversations with realistic AI personalities.

How we built it

We built Syntrio using Bolt as our core development platform, integrating multiple APIs for a seamless experience:

Tavus CVI powers our four AI avatars with distinct personalities
Lingo.dev enables multilingual support and translation
Daily.co handles live video conversation infrastructure
React/TypeScript for the frontend with Tailwind CSS styling
Pre-configured API keys for instant demo access

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was integrating multiple APIs while maintaining a smooth user experience. We faced CORS issues with Lingo translation and had to implement bypass modes for production deployment. Balancing feature complexity with user simplicity required multiple iterations of our wizard interface.

What we learned

We learned the importance of API integration planning and the value of user-centric design. Building with Bolt taught us rapid prototyping techniques, while working with AI avatar technology showed us the potential for human-AI interaction innovation.
