Inspiration
Humans of NewYork
What it does
It's basically an app that let's you hear stories of those who are unheard like homeless people, refugees. You can comment on their stories and upload your own stories that you hear from people who are unheard.
How we built it
It's an iOS app that we bulid on xcode using swift.
Challenges we ran into
Permissions. We could only query data that we upload on our own.
Edit: It's solved :)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that our app is actually for a social cause. It builds empathy among people in society.
What we learned
How to work in team and how to build things in short period of time. Also, alot of ios things.
What's next for VoicesUnheard
The next immediate step is to fix the permission issues(Edit: Solved). Next would be a nice and appealing interface. Also, in addition to comments, we would like to integrate sharing of stories and others. (Edit: We can share it now :) )
