I was interested in home automation and controlling your entire home with your voice. What better way to try out my idea than with LEDs in my dorm room? The target user of this application is anyone who wants to automate everyday things, and control parts of their home with their voice.
Using a combination of a "server" with a microphone, and a raspberry pi as the "client", this program allows for voice recognition to turn on and off DIO, resulting in lights or other devices to be actuated. Sending an email or text will also have the same effect.
